This dish is easy to make for people who are too busy to cook, and it pairs well with rice. You can smell a great aroma of braised tofu when you make it and it gives you a nice chewy texture.
Serves 6, 45~ 50 minutes
Ingredients

5 sliced ginger

3 pieces of star anise

1 tablespoon of oil

5 tablespoons of white soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon of thick soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon of maple syrup

560 grams of dried tofu and chop it into cubes.

Directions

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat for 2 or 5 minutes. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon of oil, all of the sliced ginger, and 3 pieces of star anise. Cook for 3-5 minutes and stir frequently until fragrant.

Add 5 tablespoons of white soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, 1 tablespoon of thick soy sauce, and cubed tofu, then bring it to a rolling boil.

After arriving at a rolling boil, reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan and let the sauce simmer for 30-35 minutes, until sauce and tofu are perfectly combined.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 days.
